- I'm a newbie who just installed SLS. The install went smoothly and I was
- reasonably impressed by the documentation, although more suggested sizes of
- partitions would be useful along with instructions on how to mount them before
- running doinstall; e.g. how big does the root and /usr need to be for various
- configurations. Also, for people w/ even less unix experience than I have,
- more explicit "hand-holding" documentation need to be available.
-
- My problem now is X11. Right now I'm having problems finding the default fixed
- font and with my VGA card (a Genoa 7900). I believe the fixed font problem
- came up before, but I forgot to save the solution. On the video card, is there
- any way to write an Xconfig for the standard 640x480 vga. I'd like to make
- sure that X works before I start fiddling with dot clocks. I am also willing
- to write some install docs for X11 that step people through the process of
- setting it up (w/ the proper support, of course).
