  15. While recompiling all programs, I found that I miss source code for a
  16. few things:

  18. -  fsck.c  I have an old copy, but it doesn't compile on 0.98.pl4 with
  19.    GCC 2.2.2d.  Where can I find a current version of system utils like
  20.    fsck ?

  22. -  mount.  I have an old version, but it seems to have bugs and there is
  23.    no proc support.

  25. -  file.  I found an old version, but is there a newer version which
  26.    supports Linux in /etc/magic?

  28. -  Where is the ps patch for 0.98.pl4?  I saw Linus mentioning such a
  29.    patch, but somehow I am unable to find the article.

  31. -  groff.  I miss patches for Linux.  The patches I found don't result
  32.    in a compilable version, at least last time I tried them.  I didn't
  33.    see an announce for new patches since then.

  35. I already looked in the usual archives (tsx-11,sunsite,muenchen,nic),
  36. but there are so many old versions, old binaries etc. floating around.
  37. People who upload files should let delete them when they get obsolete!

  39. I asked several people and all miss exactly these things, too.  I prefer
  40. to have source code for all things, which seems to be difficult.
