  17. I was confused by a few messages I recently read in this newsgroup.  
  18. Being from the MS-DOS world (although my home PC is only running OS/2  
  19. 2.0 and Coherent 4.0), I understand device drivers as being special 
  20. "programs" loaded at boot time and that allow accessing special  
  21. devices like network cards, etc...  Reading about the  
  22. "not-yet-released" device driver kit for Coherent 4.0, it seems that  
  23. it is supposed to be more than that.  Is it some sort of SDK required  
  24. to create any "worth talking about" programs or what?
