- I also can't understand that, but fortunateley UNIX is such a powerfull
- and flexible OS, that it can be configured to everyone needs.

- :
- : There are a lot of games for X11.
-
- You are right, that was what I meant. Write or port the games so that
- they make use of X11 or MGR or another GUI. Games written for WINDOWS
- may be a better choice for a port.
-
- : >Or take a look at MGR.

- : It moght be interesting.
-
- It is interesting, I have it here and I'm trying to port it to COHERENT.
- It doesn't have such a large overhead for network communication then X11
- and it looks like I could be fast on a 386 or 486.

- : a sysadmsh like management script and of course kkonfig for kernel
- : management.
-
- Yes and it's no problem of writing such programms for COHERENT, only
- a lot of work. This could be projects for this group, where several
- people works together.
-
- : I usually tell people who want multitasking, and don't want to leave the
- : DOS world completely behind to get OS/2. It seems to work very well.
-
- Sure, one possibility for those who don't want to learn something new,
- but has OS/2 a future?
-
- : And the really phobic will be able to buy SVR4.2, which comes up with
- : X11 running on the console. All systems administration functions will
- : be menu driven.
-
- There is no need to buy SVR4, if X11 isn't needed today. It's possible
- to get X11 running under COHERENT 4.0, it's only a question of time,
- because that is really a lot of work.
