  33. Actually, I have to thank Harry Pulley for the answer.  Somehow
  34. the permissions and file ownership of the com port device files
  35. got clobbered.  The onwership and group were all changed to root
  36. (instead of bin) and the permissions were changed to so that
  37. only root had rw access.  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr....  I know I didn't
  38. do this myself, as I have gotten out of the habit of logging in
  39. as root so I can only guess that uucico died "ungracefully" on
  40. one of its cron runs and left everything that way.
