  36. Well, the MV will be going to the WA Surplus Agency for disposal. We looked
  37. all over for someone to take this machine in on trade for something newer,
  38. the only way we can recover any value from the transaction.  If it's sold
  39. outright, the money reverts to the State general fund...  None of the
  40. brokers called me back after I sent them the configuration.  After looking
  41. at the latest used equipment sales sheets, I can see why.

  43. An MV/10000 CPU with 8Meg of memory now sells for $750.  The battery 
  44. backup supplies are worth more than the CPU.  I found I could duplicate
  45. the system on the used market for <$8100, for a system that cost over
  46. $350,000 when purchased.

  48. The problem with selling this puppy is the cost of relicensing the 
  49. software - that's more than the cost of the system. So, I guess it 
  50. would only be of interest to someone who wanted to part it out.
