- Well, the MV will be going to the WA Surplus Agency for disposal. We looked
- all over for someone to take this machine in on trade for something newer,
- the only way we can recover any value from the transaction. If it's sold
- outright, the money reverts to the State general fund... None of the
- brokers called me back after I sent them the configuration. After looking
- at the latest used equipment sales sheets, I can see why.

- An MV/10000 CPU with 8Meg of memory now sells for $750. The battery
- backup supplies are worth more than the CPU. I found I could duplicate
- the system on the used market for <$8100, for a system that cost over
- $350,000 when purchased.

- The problem with selling this puppy is the cost of relicensing the
- software - that's more than the cost of the system. So, I guess it
- would only be of interest to someone who wanted to part it out.
