- We are having problems getting Encapsulated PostScript (epsf)
- files within another document to print out properly. The parts
- of the document containing the epsf files appear fine when viewed
- with the GhostScript interpreter. But when printed out, the epsf
- files are altered.
-
- The specific parts that get altered are these carat (^) symbols
- that appear over other math symbols. In the laser printout, the
- carat symbols have been turned into larger V's with serifs.
-
- The files that we are having problems with were originally created
- in MacDraw Pro on a MacIntosh and the variables with the carat
- symbols were created in Equation Editor and pasted into the
- MacDraw Pro documents. The MacDraw Pro files were then saved as
- epsf files and ported over to a network of SparcStations. Then
- these files were included into LaTeX documents using the epsf
- style file. When LaTeXed and converted to PostScript files
- (with `dvips'), the figures originally created in MacDraw appear
- fine with the ghostscript interpreter. But the laser printer
- output corrupts the carat symbols to larger V's with serifs.
-
- Any suggestions on how to get the laser printout to come out properly?
-
- Thanks.
