- The idea is to take an arbitrary PostScript file, run it through
- a program and produce a DSC 3.0 compliant PS file that prints the
- same. You can sort of do this with a PostScript previewer by
- producing a bitmap for every page but that is not what I am
- looking for. The DSC compliant output should print the same as
- the original at *any* resolution. Can this be done? Has anyone
- done this? I am envisioning something like Glen Reid's
- distillery program.
-
- Well, okay, not just *any* arbitrary PS file, something that does
- `showpage' in a loop would be impossible to transform this way,
- but the vast majority of PS files aren't like that. If I can
- transform PS files produced by old/non-compliant versions of
- dvi*ps, framemaker, etc. I will be more than happy.
-
- Thanks!
