A good example would be CodeBase 4.5 by Sequiter Software Inc. (Canada).
It's for MSDOS & WINDOWS and includes sources to access dBase and Foxpro databases.
Although these sources are buggy (by setting the compilerswitches to
support old dBase-format it doesn't even compile error-free), they are more or less well structured, straightforward, and contain an C++-interface (classdefinitions) too ...
