- On the productivity issue, there was an excellent article on
- "A Software Process Immaturity Model" by Anthony Finkelstein in ACM Sigsoft, October.
-
- The CMM model deals with:
- initial (ad hoc/chaotic).
- repeatable
- defined
- managed
- optimising
-
- But what about before initial?
- There levels are:
- 0 foolish -- (negligent) failure to allow successful development process
- -1 stupid -- (obstructive) counterproductive process imposed
- -2 lunatic -- (contemptuous) disregard for good software engineering institutionalised.
