  11. I've ahd some funny problems with gcc on SunOS 4.1.2 of late, it doesn't
  12. seem to handle fflush(stdin) very well (ie not at all).

  14. either that, or I'm not using it correctly ?

  18. do I need to send it a -ansi flag?  I thought it defaulted to ansi
  19. anyway, as all my programmes are ansi, and I've not needed to do anything 
  20. special before

  22. my code works fine compiled under acc (SunOS 4.1.2), and microsoft QuickC
  23. on a 386 PC.  The relevant function is even straight from a book ...

  25. (ie a demonstatration programme from an ANSI C book ...)
