- I've only just started reading this NG but has anyone discussed the

- preview bitmaps in them. This would have 3 advantages:-
-
- 1) fast. The Preview could be converted to an X bitmap (say) which could be
- rendered to the screen rapidly. Most fullblown Postscript previewing takes
- a while to get going. The print option could print out the Postscript
- file to a local Postscript printer if one exists.
-
- 2) safe - no trojan horses in a bitmap
-
- 3) don't need a Postscript interpreter at the client end
