  12. I'm in the process of adding Gopher services to my mac ftp daemon, I'm
  13. interested in hearing from anyone who has any ideas on what they want to
  14. be able to do.  At the moment, it will be set up so that you get gopher
  15. access to the anonymous ftp site on the mac, with TEXT files as text
  16. files (with ISO character translation), and all other files as BinHex
  17. documents. But I'm not sure how to get the functionality of links like
  18. the unix gopherd has.  I'm thinking along the lines of a file in any
  19. directory that contains the equivalent of the .cap directory under unix
  20. gopherd as well as links - ie, it would allow you to override the type
  21. of files in the directory, give them different names, and add link files
  22. to other places.  Is that more or less what people want?  Do you have
  23. any other ideas?  Then there is the search files as well, any ideas on
  24. how you want them to be implemented?  I suppose they could just be text
  25. files, and have their type set by the "link" file as I described above?
