- I am a fourth year engineering student. Eventually I will be
- mapping collagen fibre orientation ont a 3d model of a heartvalve.
- The orientation data is in the form of a histogram. The horizontal
- axis is from 0 to 180 degrees. The veritcal axis is the number of
- collegen fibres. I have histograms for various points on the
- heartvalve.
-
- I have read the users manual and the man descriptions of the
- modules. I also have the module writers guide. I also have read
- some of the info at ftp sites (139.88.54.33)
-
- I have tried using explorer but without sucess. I have tried doing
- doing simple examples such as creating a 3d data file and trying
- to get an image using explorer. I have created a data file
- (xcord, ycordin, zcord, value) that looks like this.
- 10
- 10 11 12 1000
- 20 21 22 2000
- 30 31 32 3000
- . . . .
- . . . .
- . . . .
- 100 101 102 10000
-
- I then went to dscribe and created an input template with a vector
- glyph with n=10 and an 3d array glyph with n1=10,n2=10,n3=10. I
- then created and ouput template. I tried all the differet types of
- 3d lattices and I let nDataVar=1. I used this module in the map
- editor and I connected it to VolumetoGeom and then to render. I
- did not get an output.
-
- I would appreciate simple examples of how to input images
- such as the coordinates of a cube and then how to map 2d arrays
- onto specific points on a cube.
-
-
- Also, how do you pick which modules to use. I have read the man
- pages on them but it does not seem much help
