  13.     Can anyone tell me why POVRAY is telling me that
  14.  # and / are "offending characters"?  When I try to run povray
  15. it gives this error after reading the very first line of the
  16. .POV file where I have:
  17.  
  18.      #include "shapes.inc"
  19.      #include "colors.inc"
  20.      etc...
  21.  
  22. I deleted all includes from the top of the file and then the
  23. first few lines of the file were comments with // before it.  That's
  24. when I got another offending character error for "/".
  25.  
  26.     I am using povray in HP-UX from an executable I compiled
  27. with the C source.  (Thanks to those who replied my message for help
  28. compiling it, by the way).
