- IMHO, "Century Gothic" that comes with 3.1 in the extra
- font pack is rounded and happy looking.

- You're thinking of the plotter font--it's scalable, but also
- amazingly ugly. I wouldn't sick that sucker on my worst enemy,
- let alone a friend. The way to get it to show up in write
- is to go to the Windows control panel, select Fonts, then
- press the TrueType button. I'm betting you have the
- "Show only TrueType fonts in applications" square selected.
-
- When you print that sucker out, you'll see how anemic and
- hard to read it really is.
-
- If you really want a handwritten font, Monotype Corsiva (also
- in the Windows font pack) renders very well even at low point
- sizes on my HPIIP, and much better on the HPIV we have in
- the office [I heartily recommend this printer, it is a dream--
- but like always, you need to add memory to it before it's worth
- much...].
-
- A small note about "handwritten" fonts, though--in general they
- are great eye catchers but a pain to read for more than a short
- time. Plus, they're really not too attractive once you get a
- good look at them. ^^^^^^^IMHO, of course.
-
- If you really want to wow'em, you can go pick up a copy of
- todays Washington Post and look for the article in the business
- section on "personalized handwritten fonts". $125, but very
- personal.. [although the writer isn't clear as to why, if it's
- a truetype font, you have to have a postscript printer.. ]
-
- Anyone know where I can ftp a TT or type 1 font that looks like
- Goudy Hundred? I need it to match TechPhonetic...
