- I acquired a copy of elvis for my pc. On the unix systems I've used,
- I've been used to typing ":'a, y a", but on elvis I have to type
- ":'a,. y a" (to yank a block of text). I tried a different vi (both of
- them came from usenet), and it was even worse - I couldn't even figure
- out how to yank a block at all. Also, once while using elvis, I typed
- "n" repeatedly to look for next occurences, and the sytem suddenly crashed.
- Fortunately, I was able to recover. Anyway, so far it looks like I'm
- going to put up with these quirks; it still beats the standard dos
- editor, and I use vi so much at work that it just makes sense to use it
- at home too.
