- One of our Oracle-sid died mysteriously yesterday. I cannot bring it
- back up again.
-
- The SID-id is "develop". It seems to be choking in reading it's control
- file, and thinks some other process is using the same id. I tried
- to reboot the machine, but result was the same error.
-
- Oracle hotline was called; they don't know how to resolve this either.
-
- SQLDBA> startup
- ORACLE instance started.
- ORA-00205: error in identifying control file 'cntrldevelop.dbf'
- ORA-09782: sfifi: another instance has the same database mounted.
- Attempting to shutdown instance........ORACLE instance shut down.
