  14.   One of our Oracle-sid died mysteriously yesterday. I cannot bring it 
  15.   back up again.

  17.   The SID-id is "develop". It seems to be choking in reading it's control
  18.   file, and thinks some other process is using the same id. I tried 
  19.   to reboot the machine, but result was the same error. 
  20.  
  21.   Oracle hotline was called; they don't know how to resolve this either.

  23.   SQLDBA> startup
  24.   ORACLE instance started.
  25.   ORA-00205: error in identifying control file 'cntrldevelop.dbf'
  26.   ORA-09782: sfifi: another instance has the same database mounted.
  27.   Attempting to shutdown instance........ORACLE instance shut down.
