  22. MFM drive.  A pair of ST-251-1 on a WD-GEN controller.  Only one drive
  23. added; the other one and the controller have been here since 1989.

  27. No such option for this cache.  The program came with my motherboard.
  28. (suggestions for a ramdisk/cache or memory manager that'll let 4dos swap

  33. I can't take out ANSI, because this is my main machine and unloadable
  34. drivers don't have the same capabilities as NANSI.  Besides, under the
  35. 'one change at a time' rule, the last change in usually causes the
  36. problems, and that's the disk.  NANSI has been here since almost
  37. forever.  (this still doesn't explain how adding a HD causes problems,
  38. but I'll leave than alone for now)

  42. Thanks, Ralph.  I'll look for that one.  Meanwhile, I threw together
  43. another machine, hoping to test stuff out locally.  Of course, the other
  44. system has different symptoms, even with the same drivers loaded.  But
  45. the other one also doesn't have a hard disc.  (the only portion of the
  46. main machine I can't duplicate)
