  18. Back when I had 1.64 (and was waiting for 1.65 ;-), I had no problems
  19. using my Intel 14.4EX (v.32bis/v.42/v.42bis external modem) at "full
  20. speed."  Are you using a Fossil driver (such as BNU (which I personally
  21. use) or X00), and does your serial card have a 16550AFN UART?  If not,
  22. you might want to explore these options, as they may help with your
  23. problem.
