  26. DupWeed is not the solution to your problem. As written, DupWeed has two
  27. limitations :

  29.   1) It can handle only 40 subdirectories per directory.
  30.   2) It can handle only 750 articles per directory.

  32. Either one could be why you can't get it to work on news\comp and
  33. news\soc. These 2 limits could be removed, but at the expense of memory
  34. and definately speed.

  36. As far as cross-posting, no, it is not supposed to handle cross posts.
  37. It also has no support for extended or expanded memory.

  39. See, I wrote it for my site to handle dups in two low-traffic local
  40. news hierarchies that I wanted to have network redundancy with, not for
  41. an entire news spool. I posted it because people expressed interest and
  42. it can be useful in some situations. But the application you are trying
  43. to use it for is one for which the program was just not designed to
  44. handle.

  46. Sorry. You are probably better of using Mr. Willard's WafHist if you
  47. want to manage an entire news spool.
