- DupWeed is not the solution to your problem. As written, DupWeed has two
- limitations :
-
- 1) It can handle only 40 subdirectories per directory.
- 2) It can handle only 750 articles per directory.
-
- Either one could be why you can't get it to work on news\comp and
- news\soc. These 2 limits could be removed, but at the expense of memory
- and definately speed.
-
- As far as cross-posting, no, it is not supposed to handle cross posts.
- It also has no support for extended or expanded memory.
-
- See, I wrote it for my site to handle dups in two low-traffic local
- news hierarchies that I wanted to have network redundancy with, not for
- an entire news spool. I posted it because people expressed interest and
- it can be useful in some situations. But the application you are trying
- to use it for is one for which the program was just not designed to
- handle.
-
- Sorry. You are probably better of using Mr. Willard's WafHist if you
- want to manage an entire news spool.
