  18. The file deletion mechanism should be enhanced to either *not* delete
  19. all messages (compare with expire) or update people's join files.
  20. The only valid reason IMHO to delete messages is the standard expire
  21. mechanism.  Message renumbering is a kludge anyway, and should support
  22. join file updating.
