  15. Out of the TOP-10 BBS systems listed in this year's Boardwatch Magazine
  16. Top 100 BBS contest 3 of them were PCBoard systems.  That is the highest
  17. percentage of any software used by TOP-10 systems.

  19. Of the TOP-100, PCBoard was the 2nd most used software, following
  20. TBBS.

  22. I am a firm believer that a sysop should choose the BBS package that
  23. best suits his/her needs.  Sometimes that is PCB, sometimes it is not.
  24. One reason the PCB is so widely used is that it offers the functionality
  25. to do just about anything the average sysop would need to do.

  27. As with all products that target a wide user-base, PCB gets a bad rap
  28. just because it is used so much (like MSWindows, for example - I cant
  29. even count the number of anti-windows posts I've read).

  31. Anyway, I am a PCB sysop - not because I think its the BEST pacakge
  32. in the universe, but because it meets my needs.  I suggest if PCB systems
  33. bother you so much, don't call them.  But, please don't roll us PCB sysops
  34. into a single group of hitler-esque systyem operators.  Some of us do run
  35. pretty good systems.  Despite the fact we chose PCB :)
