  11. Is the idea of running code on virtual machines dead?
  12. Found a couple of old books yesterday on the p-System and 
  13. MINT.

  15. The possibility of taking my binary from machine to machine,
  16. (with possibly different physical architectures), and having
  17. it run without dinking, is an intriguing one.

  19. Is any work going on in this area?  Or does performance pay
  20. more than portability?
