- Our site is used mostly for research. When a user leaves, thier account
- is usually not removed. After a while we kill thier passwd so noone can log
- in, but we don't delete any of thier files.
- Each user here works for a lab. It may be that others in the lab will need
- access to the files of a user after (perhaps long after) they have left.
- Things only get deleted after a -long- period. So accounts can still get mail.
