- The dealer has to take the car back within the first 3 days (72 hours) of
- purchase under a buyer's remorse law in IL. As for this dealer, if you
- want to hit him where it hurts contact local papers with your story, or
- if you can manage it get tv news media involved. The last thing this guy
- wants in todays market is bad PR on his customer relations. He be more
- than willing to pay for your repairs if you threaten his image as a good
- dealer. By the way, I work for a manufacturer (not Toyota), contacting
- Toyota about a used car of another make will do absoulutely nothing.
- Concentrate you letter on the manner you were treated, etc. However, not
- being a new car purchaser, you will likely get little response from
- Toyota. Sorry you had a bad experience-its dealers like this that give
- the industry a bad name.
