  19. I think we have passed the point of no return.  There is no way for the 
  20. government to pay back the enormous debt.  The tax base just isn't big
  21. enough.  Cutting back a billion here or there is just a drop in the bucket.
  22. I think the only answer is to continue to run the debt through the roof
  23. and simply screw our debtors some day when they come to collect.  
  24. Its not as preposterous as you may think.

  26. Lots of countries have done this to other countries with no repercussions.
  27. Most recently Canadian banks have written off loans to various Latin
  28. American countries - like as if they could pay it back anyway. We didn't
  29. exactly declare war on Brazil because of this.  We still probably lend
  30. them money.  If we don't others will.  Lending money is risky to begin with
  31. and defaults are part of the cost of doing business.
