1. Anyone who knows anything about Canadian History should be acquanted with
the spoonfed propaganda that our school system shoves down Canadian's
throats. For American's, often it is better if they know NOTHING about
Canada than the shit that our politicians lead us to believe.

2. THE CONFEDERATION SCAM

   In 1867 John A MacDonald said that he wanted a strong central dictator
   ship to counter the threat of the evil Americans. It was to be strongly
   allied to that sinking ship, the British Empire.

   For 40 years, Ontario and Quebec had been forced to share the SAME
   parliament, and other people wanted a change too. When people heard that
   Ontario and Quebec were getting their own parliament back, people were
   generally happy. They were in for a surprise.

   In essence, Ontario and Quebec got a divorce, but were forced again to
   share a unified parliament representing the four provinces that signed
   on to the Confederation scam. Atlantic Canada had its own plans for
   a unified Atlantic Canada scrubbed. Thanks John.

   In Quebec, the repressive Church hierarchy began a campaign against
   liberal opponents of Confederation. Liberal newspapers were outlawed,
   voting liberal was a mortal sin, and liberal candidates were forced to
   resign so George Etienne Cartier's conservatives could win the election.
   Brave Quebec people.... Cartier almost lost. To bad Quebec ended up the
   loser.... they would wait another 80 years before real progress.

3. CANADA: TOADY OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE
       In the late 19th Century, Wilfred Laurier, Liberal prime minister
of Canada, agreed to one of the silliest wars of all history... the Boer
War. Not unlike the media hype about Iraq, stories abounded about the
evil Dutch Boer's in South Africa and how the glorious fucking British
Empire must protect their interests. The British Empire wanted only two
things: diamonds and a passage to India. Thanks a lot Wilfred... imperialist
toady and no friend of an independent Canada, he got Canadian volunteers
suckered by the war propaganda (mostly English Canadians) to go and
participate in the slaughter of South African Boers and British imperialist
interests.

     To his shame, Laurier the French Canadian, allowed the French minority
to be fucked over in Manitoba. The rights of one fifth of Manitoba's
population fucked over. Thanks Wilfrid.

4. WORLD WAR II: THE TRAGEDY CONTINUES
     In 1917, the Yugoslavs were still at war with eachother, and with
one of the Yugo leaders assasinated, everyone in power wanted to test out
each others armaments and strategies in one of the most stupid wars in
all history.

     To bad for Germany that they were on the losing side. The British
Empire, France, and eventually the United States ganged up on the poor
Germans... killing hundreds of thousands of Canadian, British, US and
German youth in the process. The Versaille treaty, signed by vicious
powers including Canada... made sure that the unhappy Germans would
be punished forever for being the losers... thus insuring Uncle Adolph
or his equivalent would take power in Germany less than 20 years later.
Thanks Canada, for helping to create Adolph Hitler.
     Canada's glorious leader, Robert Borden, another British toady,
introduced conscription to go and "save Europe". Meanwhile, in English
Canada, the French Canadian minority was being fucked over. French
language public education was outlawed in WASP Ontario. How dare that
asshole Borden talk about "saving France" when French America was being
threatened by a force worse than Germany... a bigoted English speaking
majority.

5. THE INTERIM YEARS

     Lucky for Canada, Borden got his ass kicked in the election. William
Lyon Mackenzie King, grandson of the great rebel Mackenzie, rose to power.
At several conferences with other British slave powers, he told the British
to fuck off. He would not send Canadians to go to Turkey to defend British
interests. He said that Canada should have its own foreign policy. And in
1931 the Statue of Westminister said much of the same. Too bad World War
II had to happen

6. WORLD WAR II

    In 1939, Hitler and Stalin agreed to take over Poland. Both of them knew
that eventually they would go to war with eachother, and Poland was a perfect
place to share a common border with their occupied territories. When this
happened, curiosly politicians only were concerned with Hitler's takeover
of Poland. Stalin got off the hook, but the British Empire once again decided
to go out and kick some German ass. And Canadians, the toadies that they are,
went along with them.(Pearl Harbor is another story)
    In one terrible set up, Mountbatten ordered Canadian troops to land in
France in one of the greatest set ups of the war. The Germans knew the
Canadians were coming at Dieppe and slaughtered almost all of the troops
arriving in France. To this day, noone who was higher up would confess to
being the culprit in this evil operation.
    In another terrible decision, Bomber Harris decided that we would go
to war on civilian Germany. Canaidans, fooled by the propaganda from
Harris, believed that they were bombing military targets. In two days
as many as 200 000 civilians died in Dresden. The city was almost destroyed.
Today everyone remembers Auschwitz... noone wants to remember Dresden.
And in conservative Canada, veterans in the Senate began a show trial to
hang two film makers who dared tell the truth about Dresden. (David Irving
.... the pre-Holocaust denier Irving....wrote an excellent book on this
aspect of the war. )

7: POST-WAR CANADA: QUEBEC WAKES UP FROM DICTATORSHIP

     For nearly 200 years, the Catholic Church, English Candian politicians
and English language businesses had a stragle-hold over the people of Quebec
And for a whole generation, that rule was symbolized by one man.. Maurice
Duplessis. He was the last of the old politicians, and for many the worst.
He cooperated and controlled everything. Then one day... he died.
    Ten years before his death, Quebec intellectuals had slowly been building
up a campaign to replace the old Quebec society with a vibrant new one.
Pierre Trudeau's Cite Libre, Vrai, Le Devoir and countless of Quebecers
had worked for change. And in 1960 Liberal Jean Lesage came to power. He
symbolized that change and set the wheels for Quebec self-determination
into motion. Control over schools was a state, not religious concern,
illiteracy was a real issue, and Quebecers must become masters of their
own house "Maitre chez Nous". With Rene Levesque, he nationalized the
Quebec power companies. Never again would Quebecer's destiny be in the
hands of others.
    But there was one stumbling block: Ottawa.

8: THE SIXTIES: REACTION AND COUNTER REACTION
    Canada was built on a lie. And Canada could only survive if they
abandonned old lies in favor of new ones. The Canada that clung to
Britain's side was dead, with the adoption of a distinct Canadian flag
, and a new conception (long held by Quebecers) that Canada was founded by
two peoples.
     The politicians foolishly thought that if Quebecers were present
everywhere in Ottawa, and if more people outside spoke French and more
civil servants spoke French...Quebecers would shut up and stop asking
for more powers from Ottawa. With the post-War welfare scam the federal
regime found excuses to take more power from the provinces, and they
almost did it again under Pearson with the Canada Pension Plan. Quebec
balked, invented their own plan, much superior to the federal plan.
From now on, Quebec would play its own game.

9: PATRIATION MESS
     Trudeau symbolizes the new bilingual Canada of Pearson and the
centralist ideology that built the Country under Macdonald. In the 1980's
Trudeau began a campaign to get Canada's constitution back from London.
But he wanted a centralizing Charter of Rights and an entrenchment of
federal power and the bilingual Peason scam also. In 1981, nine provinces
and the federal regime agreed.. the constituion would come home, but
without the consent of Quebec. Once again, Quebec is on its own, and
abandonned by so-called representatives in Ottawa (wait till the next
federal election, things will change).

10: TODAY's MESS
    Mulroney's Canada (our new leader) is a kinder gentler version of
the Trudeau Canada, but much of the same. We have an officially bilingual
Canada where French minorities continue to an eventual decline. We have
an officially unilingual French Quebec, where a great number of people
speak English and where almost any business in any city will try and serve
you in English. We have a federal regime that wants to have it all (and with
a 460 billion dollar debt, we have Ottawa to blame for that) and a Quebec
population ready for real change, and not the phony change that symbolized
the failed Charlottetown Accord, which represented the new
smiley-face of centralist Canada.

     Canada and Quebec will head for an eventual divorce. If not next year
the next ten years. Someday the lie called Canada will die. Someday real
changes will come to this quasi-socialist paradise, a place where more
than 50% of earned money goes to growing governments, a place where Ottawa
more than ever is in real control and the people with even less.

     God bless Thomas Jefferson. He knew that less government was better
government, and the government that was closest to the people serves
them better. Is it any wonder Canada is so fucked up?
