- Absolutely right. And after the 1940 victories in france, they froze the
- R&D activities on tanks until they encountered the Russian T-34 and KV-1
- in mid to late 1944. I would point out, however, that the existence of
- this excess industrial capacity reduced the effect of the bombing.

- I would also point out that this reinforces a point I made earlier:
- that scattering bombs randomly on an industrial complex actually
- frees resources for military production by wiping out civilian
- business which may compete for them.
