- It sounds like you have a bit of confusion of what bigotry
- is. It is a preference, and nothing else. For example,
- if I am a member of the KKK and believe in its teachings,
- that has done you no harm. If, however, I commit violent
- acts against you (for whatever reason), only then have I
- violated your rights via a non-consentual activity. I
- have always associated bigotry with intolerant, religious,
- ignoramouses, so I looked it up in Websters:
-
- big-ot: one intolerantly devoted to his or her own church,
- party, or opinion, a fanatic, enthusiast, or zealot.
-
- It seems that I (as well as another well known netter) was
- not far off of the mark unless you consider one's thoughts
- to be a non-consentual activity against someone else.
