  25. It sounds like you have a bit of confusion of what bigotry
  26. is.  It is a preference, and nothing else.  For example,
  27. if I am a member of the KKK and believe in its teachings,
  28. that has done you no harm.  If, however, I commit violent
  29. acts against you (for whatever reason), only then have I
  30. violated your rights via a non-consentual activity.  I
  31. have always associated bigotry with intolerant, religious,
  32. ignoramouses, so I looked it up in Websters:

  34. big-ot:  one intolerantly devoted to his or her own church,
  35. party, or opinion, a fanatic, enthusiast, or zealot.

  37. It seems that I (as well as another well known netter) was
  38. not far off of the mark unless you consider one's thoughts
  39. to be a non-consentual activity against someone else.
