  29. I certainly agree with the sentiment expressed here, but if it was
  30. expressed differently it would probably convince a lot more people.
  31. The point is not that recycling is wrong, but that we are just doing
  32. too much of it, and expending efforts in that direction that could
  33. more effectively be put to reduction/reuse.

  35. I would suggest using the analogy to medicine.  Preventative medicine
  36. is nearly always much better to do than treating disease/illness/injury
  37. after the fact.  That doesn't mean you don't treat sick people, but
  38. it does mean you try to have lots fewer sick people in the first place.
