- Recently, I sought to find an old high school friend who grew up in Ferndale.
- The tragedy is that in looking for him I saw the damage of the 7 quake
- which hit near there. The buildings are still damaged, few temporary
- structures have been placed, and the area is out of the thoughts of those
- who don't live there. Succeeded by the diaster of the moment. In an area
- hard hit by the economy.
