  23. Recently, I sought to find an old high school friend who grew up in Ferndale.
  24. The tragedy is that in looking for him I saw the damage of the 7 quake
  25. which hit near there.  The buildings are still damaged, few temporary
  26. structures have been placed, and the area is out of the thoughts of those
  27. who don't live there.  Succeeded by the diaster of the moment.  In an area
  28. hard hit by the economy.
