  11. Ralph D'Agostino, chair of the stats department at Boston University,
  12. has written a book on testing distributions (no, I don't know the reference
  13. off-hand, and it's an expensive book).  At a short course I attended, he
  14. stated quite emphatically that the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was not good
  15. for the purpose of testing for normality.  Not having my notes handy,
  16. however,
