- We have had unsecured IBM 3164 terminals out on unsupervised floors
- since 1988 and so far there have been no serious problems. The
- terminals are in plain sight of patrons in large reading areas.
- Someone does occasionally diddle with the setup menu, but this is
- rare and hasn't caused much of a problem. The most aggravating thing
- that occurs now and then is that someone will play muscial keys with
- the key caps so that people type garbage before they realize that the
- key caps have been switched. Once someone discovers this a staff
- member has to go pop the misplaced ones off and put them back where they
- belong.
