- Here at the University of California, Santa Barbara, we have
- installed 3180's in the stacks. They are not secured and the only
- problems we had was in the beginning people hitting the keys, such
- as play and record, and after becoming totally confused walking away
- leaving the garble for someone else. We "froze" those keys and
- everything seems to be working fine.
- I guess I'd better back up. When I say "secured" I mean the
- terminals were not locked or bolted down to the furniture. The
- terminals are "locked" into the patron access mode.
