  12. Betsy Hines is correct.  I learned from our Systems Librarian that NOTIS
  13. *batch* reindexing does, indeed, refuse to recognize subsequent 6xx/7xx fields
  14. when there is an error in a prior 6xx.  Furthermore, records with alternate
  15. graphic representation (involving the 880 field) won't index at all.  We
  16. are now using the LB310 NOTIS Bibliographic Index Generation report to correct
  17. these fields.
