- In NB 3/3.1 I believe that em dashes were made with line or box drawing
- characters (I am speaking of the em dash made with CTL+ALT+gray minus
- twice, not the usual typing dash of two hyphens). When my printer is in
- Epson mode (dot matrix) it refuses to print these. In fact, in the manual
- of the printer it clearly shows that Epsons don't include this symbol. If
- NB 4 continues in this tradition, that might explain why Mervyn's steam
- powered dot matrix doesn't like the new "Magic Dash." "Smart Quotes" fall
- under the same ban.
