  11. I'm using the cheaper ATI VGA Basic-16, but I suspect the solution is
  12. the same. I called ATI about getting a new driver for Windows 3.1, and
  13. spoke with a technician there. In passing, he said that you need to
  14. exclude video memory C000-C7FF from QEMM or other memory manager. He
  15. didn't think you need to exclude anything in the A000-BFFF range,
  16. although I already had excluded that entire range for other reasons
  17. that I no longer recall.

  19. At any rate, that should keep QEMM from messing with your video.

  21. The answer to my question about the video driver is that the ATI BBS
  22. at 416-756-4591 has a file WIN31VGA.ZIP with the new driver (and some
  23. skimpy installation instructions) for Windows 3.1, for those who
  24. bought their ATI card before Windows 3.1 release in June or so.
  25. The file is dated July 1992, and will work with all the VGA Wonder
  26. cards too. It's 232505 bytes. I haven't seen it on WUARCHIVE yet.
