- Dorothy,
- I haven't really tried to contact NBI recently, so you might be right,
- however, from enquiries made by others I got the distinct impression that what
- started out as a Hebrew/English version of NotaBene has now been rejected by
- NBI as a defective foster child, or in other terms, definitely uninteresting
- special user market.
-
- When WordPerfect entered the market in Israel with a bi-lingual version they
- started out with academic prices of about $200; There have been constantly
- improving versions of the program (bug corrections) since, and literaly dozens
- of copies were aquired by my colleagues and people who came to me for help.
- The bugs in my version of NB, though reported, have never been corrected.
- I know the reasons for this, but that does not change the fact.
-
- I for one do not believe that NBI has any chance in the Israely market at this
- point. And its a pity. It could have been a great program for many academians
- in Israel. *Could have been*.
-
- Odeda.
