- I had transferred the 3.1 Ibid data files correctly, and had been adding
- records left and right by the time I faced the generation problem.

- I have been able to determine that my problem may have been due to a
- lack of sufficient memory (but that is in itself a problem--more later).
- I did generate the Ibid bibliography after I unloaded the printer file
- and increased my memory from 213K to something like 250K (I use DOS 5, but
- don't have expanded or extended memory in my 286-16 with 1 mb. total memory).

- The issue now is, I think, whether Ibid requires more memory in version 4
- than it did in 3.1, and, if so, why. Although I was often short of memory
- in 3.1, it was only after the available total fell below, say, 125K.
