  13. I remember when, in the "Graduating Class" meeting about a month
  14. before I finished Library School, the Dean of the  "GSLIS" announced
  15. that we would all be receiving a "Master of Librarianship" degree -
  16. there were audible gasps from several corners of the room, quickly
  17. followed by comments like "After two years of this, we deserve
  18. AT LEAST a Master's in Library SCIENCE!"  Hmmm.

  20. I sincerely hope that at least in OUR profession there is a tendency
  21. to look at the quality of a person's work/knowledge rather than the
  22. name on the sheepskin on the wall...
