  20. Kristallnacht, the Night of the Broken Glass, when the Nazis
  21. sponsored a national pogrom, not the Night of the Long Knives, when
  22. the SA was purged.
  23. (2) I think that you exaggerate how the U-S media are painting
  24. the German troubles. My impression (from National Public Radio,
  25. the NY Times, the Greenville {S.C.} News, and the Anderson {S.C.}
  26. Independent) is that the disturbances are not being presented
  27. as catastrophic.
