- The multimedia chemistry labs at the University of Illinois replace half of
- the wet lab exercises. The result is a learning environment in which students
- learn more of the content and pick up (surprisingly) more lab skills than
- before. The issue of lecture vs. lab material dissappears when multimedia
- lessons are used, since content is integrated with experimentation. Multimedia
- allows new definitions of learning environments.
-
- I am the Jones of "Smith and Jones" and am now located at the University of
- Northern Colorado, where we are installing a new multimedia lab for chemistry.
- The facility will also serve as a molecular visualization lab. Teaching
- chemistry was never so much fun before edtech!
