- COOPERATIVE SCHOLAR PROGRAM IN APPLIED STATISTICS
- In conjunction with the Ford Motor partnership, Oakland
- University has developed a unique cooperative program for the master's
- degree in applied statistics, offered through the Department of
- Mathematical Sciences. This program provides graduate students an
- opportunity to apply modern statistical methods to real world problems.
- A selected few students pursuing the Master of Science in
- Applied Statistics at Oakland University will be chosen as cooperative
- scholars. This program requires two calendar years to complete. Students
- can start the cooperative program anytime during the summer prior to
- beginning the M.S. program in September. The stipend for Graduate
- Cooperative Scholars will be approximately $16,800 annually. In
- addition, tuition is waived for 20 graduate credits per year.
- The scholar is required to participate in statistical consulting
- and training activities at automotive manufacturing/ technical sites for
- 120 days per year. This internship experience is supervised jointly by
