  18. Excuse me - are we talking about knowing the NAME of the field being edited
  19. before moving to the next field?  That's easily done with VARREAD().  Or are
  20. we talking about knowing the CONTENTS of the field?  In that case, the VALID
  21. clause of the READ statement would seem to me to be the way to go (dBASE IV
  22. and FoxPro).
