  11.   Below is a description of two tenure-track positions currently
  12. open in our department.  Inquiries and applications are welcome.
  13.  
  14. Evolutionary Geneticist and Environmental Microbiologist.  The
  15. University of South Florida and the Department of Biology has
  16. two full-time, 9 month tenure-track positions at the level of
  17. Assistant or Associate Professor.  Candidates need a Ph.D. and
  18. postdoctoral research experience; are expected to train graduate
  19. students and  establish research programs that are
  20. molecularly-oriented and externally-funded.  Teaching will be
  21. undergraduate genetics or microbiology and in specialty graduate
  22. courses.  Intra- and interdepartmental collaboration is
  23. facilitated through the Institute for Biomolecular Science and
  24. the Center for Urban Ecology.  Title and salary will be
  25. commensurate with qualifications. USF is a comprehensive
  26. research and teaching university.  The Department is
  27. multi-disciplinary with 35 faculty members.  Applicants should
  28. forward a letter of intent, curriculum vitae, reprints,
  29. statements of research and teaching interests, and should
  30. arrange for 3 letters of recommendation to be forwarded.
