- Below is a description of two tenure-track positions currently
- open in our department. Inquiries and applications are welcome.

- Evolutionary Geneticist and Environmental Microbiologist. The
- University of South Florida and the Department of Biology has
- two full-time, 9 month tenure-track positions at the level of
- Assistant or Associate Professor. Candidates need a Ph.D. and
- postdoctoral research experience; are expected to train graduate
- students and establish research programs that are
- molecularly-oriented and externally-funded. Teaching will be
- undergraduate genetics or microbiology and in specialty graduate
- courses. Intra- and interdepartmental collaboration is
- facilitated through the Institute for Biomolecular Science and
- the Center for Urban Ecology. Title and salary will be
- commensurate with qualifications. USF is a comprehensive
- research and teaching university. The Department is
- multi-disciplinary with 35 faculty members. Applicants should
- forward a letter of intent, curriculum vitae, reprints,
- statements of research and teaching interests, and should
- arrange for 3 letters of recommendation to be forwarded.
