  18. Applications are invited for a Wellcome Trust funded position in the
  19. Molecular and Experimental Parasitology Group. The successful candidate
  20. will join a  group studying the induction and effector function of
  21. suppressor macrophages in Trypanosome infections. Of particular interest
  22. will be the mechanism of parasite induced macrophage activation,
  23. the activity of nitric oxide in immunosuppression and parasite killing,
  24. and the mechanisms employed by trypanosome to evade microbicidal responses.
  25. Previous experience in biochemistry, cell biology or infection immunology
  26. would be an advantage.
  27. The appointment will be for 3 years and is available from 1.12.92.
  28. Initial salary (including Wellcome Trust enhancement) will be up
  29. to #17122 on the RA1A scale.
