- I think thats been said a few times, or at least in similiar variations
- of it, the problem I see is in MIS, controlling a database with extra
- classes of membership is messy, you can imagine where some fossil joins
- up with the basic membership (only because its cheaper) and then rings
- up to complain that he got an invoice for his QSL cards, or refused access
- to some other service, not covered by his particular membership level.
- I havent sent QSL cards for years, so I didnt even remember that non-members
- are charged for their cards, this shows how easy people could misunderstand
- the benefits they receive from their particular level of membership.
-
- I also see the lesser requirement for the magazine, when the new regs
- come into being, and the networks plus BBS forwarding improves, then
- news will be propagated further and faster, plus less restriction on
- what is passed across the packet network, therefore alot more people
- will not require to get the magazine.
