  20. On reflection, I think it's the QSL Bureau.  Non-members pay a fairly
  21. hefty fee to use it (something like 10c a card, or thereabouts, plus
  22. postage) whereas it's part of the Member package.

  26. Amusing anecdote: every year, VK2 receives a donation from a member who
  27. wishes to remain anonymous, to pay the membership fee for a "deserving"
  28. person, at Council's discretion.  This is usually achieved by going
  29. through the resignation letters, looking for the saddest "sob story".
  30. One was picked, from someone who was in ill-health, on a pension etc,
  31. and just couldn't afford the dues.  Upon being informed he was the
  32. lucky recipient, the bugger came clean - it was just an excuse, and
  33. there wasn't a word of truth in it!  Some mighty weird people out there...
