- Since when do foreigners get to decide on the outcome of an Australian
- news group?
-
- A point I made in mail, but is worth repeating here, is that the reason
- I got the aus.radio.* hierarchy created was so we locals could have a
- quiet chat amongst ourselves, wihout being deluged by foreign postings
- (most of whom have no idea of Australian conditions - many postings in
- rec.radio.amateur.* are full of this sort of Americo-centric stuff).
- And some have the temerity to call this a "cultural cringe" ...
-
- Ob aus.rail: my interest is the Sydney suburban network. What with all
- the Tangaras being taken off the tracks because of cracked bogies, anyone
- like to place any bets on whether the red-rattlers will make a come-back?
- What used to be 8-car sets are now 6 and 4 (at peak-hour), except for those
- Tangaras still running, which cannot run 6-car sets; they must be 4 or 8.
